Welcome to Knowledge Transfer Associates - a Knowledge Transfer & Management Consultancy working with organisations and institutions who want to improve their abilities in Knowledge Transfer (KT), Knowledge Management (KM) and Work-based Learning (WBL). We have a strong focus on operating in the Education (HE/FE) sector, at both under-graduate and the post-graduate level. Our Associates are specialists in a variety of professional disciplines across industry, Mechanical, Systems, Electrical and Electronics, and the Oil Industry. We have many years experience working with some of the leading organisations in the UK and abroad. Our Associates have all worked in senior positions in Business, Industry and education. Knowledge Transfer and Knowledge Management are still very much a part of the Governments agenda for the UK. Many different activities in Knowledge Transfer e.g. Employer Engagement or KTP's are well established already, but some of the newer areas for example WBL or Knowledge Networks are less so. There have been Government Reports and subsequent initiatives, ranging from The Sainsbury Report, The Leitch Reports etc.. (See our Downloads area) Many of these offer different perspectives and do not necessarily build on from each other in logical ways. Our Associates have all worked with many of these Government initiatives over the years and have successfully devised and implemented the results across the UK. We have a particular strength in Work Based Learning (WBL) programmes both here and overseas, with our Associates operating as Professional Supervisors & Mentors for some of the post-graduate programmes specifically designed for people wishing to become Chartered Engineers. Currently we are supporting Programmes running in the UK, West Africa and in Indonesia. This year we will be expanding our activities into new regions such as China and Azerbaijan.
